A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident at Kuthiboira Bazar on the Tangail-Tarakandi highway in Bhuapur upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was Abdul Halim, 55, who hailed from Kuthiboira village of the upazila, reports BSS.
The accident occurred around 8 am in the area when a bus hit a pedestrian and entered a roadside house as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the pedestrian dead on the spot and 10 others bus passengers injured, said Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Bhuapur Police Station.
The injured were sent to a local hospital.
