The traffic division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 962 cases and imposed a fine of Tk 38.95 lakh after conducting drives against traffic rule violators on Wednesday.
Jahangir Kabir, assistant commissioner (media) of DMP, said the DMP also dumped 83 vehicles and 64 vehicles were put on the wrecker during the drives in different parts of the capital.
Of the fined money, traffic police collected Tk 9,25,250 in cash as fine.
The drive will continue to maintain discipline, he said.
