Maria Howlader made new Chair of SAFA Women Leadership Committee

Maria Howlader FCA has been nominated as the new Chairperson of the Women Leadership Committee of the South Asian Federation of Chartered Accountants (SAFA). She will hold the position for the next two years.

Maria Howlader is the founder of Howlader Maria & Co (HMAC) Chartered Accountants (Member Firm of TGS Global). She has been involved in auditing, accounting and advisory work since 2006. Prior to that, he was a partner at A Qasem & Co Chartered Accountants.

She was elected as one of the Vice Presidents of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). She became an associate member of ICAB in 2008 and a follow member in 2013. She is currently the Chairman of the Women Members Empowerment and Leadership Development Committee of ICAB. At the same time, she is the Chairman of the ‘Audit Software Development for CA Firm in Bangladesh’ project under the ICAB Capacity Building and Project Development Committee.

Maria Howlader FCA was also involved in educational activities from 2009 to 2016 as a faculty member of ICAB.
