West Indies bat first in 2nd ODI

West Indies have won the toss and opted to bat first in the second one-day international against Bangladesh at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.

The host made a good start to the Bangabandhu Bangladesh vs West Indies Cricket Series, winning the first match on Wednesday by six wickets.

Bangladeshi bowlers, particularly Shakib Al Hasan and Hasan Mahmud, did well in the first game. While Shakib bagged four wickets in his comeback match, Hasan took three on his debut.

On Friday, Bangladesh fielded an unchanged XI in the second game, but West Indies made a change — they replaced pace-bowler Chemar Holder with left-handed opener Kjorn Ottley.

Holder made a debut in the last game, and Ottley is set to make his debut in this game. Before getting inducted to international cricket, Ottley played 45 List-A games and amassed 1175 runs with a hundred and seven fifties.

A win in this game will mean the series for the Tigers.

The last match of the series will be played in Chattogram on January 25. After the ODI series, both the teams will lock horns in a two-match Test series starting February 11.
