‘Haldaa’ now available to stream on Bioscope

‘Haldaa’, an award-winning movie by acclaimed director Tauquir Ahmed, is now available for streaming on Grameenphone’s Bioscope Live. 

Haldaa was released on the over-the-top platform by GP through a virtual press conference held on Sunday night.

The movie’s director Tauquir Ahmed and one of the lead cast Nusrat Imrose Tisha, chief content officer at Bongo Mushfiqur Rahman, content operations and VOD lead at Bioscope Nazmun Tabassum Mayeesha, marketing and engagement lead at Bioscope Michael Shirsho Das, among others, attended the programme.

Haldaa was released in theatres on December 1, 2017.

At the National Film Awards 2018, Nusrat Imrose Tisha took home the Best Actress Award and Tauquir Ahmed Best Screenplay Award for Haldaa while Runa Khan won the Best Supporting Actor and Azad Bulbul was awarded for the Best Story for the same movie.

Zahid Hasan, Mosharraf Karim, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Dilara Zaman and Runa Khan were among the lead characters of Haldaa. Its music was directed by Pintu Ghosh.

Tauquir Ahmed’s fifth feature film ‘Haldaa’ tells the story of the fishermen living by the river Halda in Chattogram and the river itself, said to be only natural fish breeding centre of Asia.

The film bagged many awards including the Grand Prix at the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy in 2018 and the Best Feature Film Award at SAARC Film Festival in Colombo the same year.
