StanChart distributes 7,000 sehri meals among poor

With a view to sharing the blessings of Ramadan with its clients and the community, Standard Chartered donated over 7,000 meals to families who lost their livelihoods amid the pandemic.

Bidyananda Foundation cooperated regarding packaging and distributing in Dhaka, said a press release.

Standard Chartered Bangladesh CEO Naser Ezaz Bijoy said, "Instead of sharing meals together with our clients each Ramadan, we are fortunate to have been able to do that with the vulnerable communities."

“The pandemic has laid bare the fault lines of the society where this kindness is a token of our solidarity of purpose, as we work together to heal it. The pandemic is a tragic and painful reminder of the need to build a more resilient and equitable society,” he added.
