Dhallywood star Mahiya Mahi and husband Parvez Mahmud Opu have parted ways five years after their marriage. The actress made the announcement via her Facebook account early Sunday, a day before their fifth wedding anniversary.
Mahi wrote in a post that she will miss her in-laws for the rest of her life, mentioning that Opu was the ‘best person in the world’ and it was a ‘big failure’ to not stay together anymore.
On May 24, 2016, the ‘Agni’ girl wed Parvez Mahmud Opu, an engineer-turned-businessman based in Sylhet, in the capital’s Uttara.
Having made her debut through Shahin Sumon directorial ‘Bhalobashar Rong’ in 2012, Mahiya Mahi is said to be one of the most popular actresses of Dhallywood.
Mahiya Mahi was last seen along with Shakib Khan in Anonno Mamun’s ‘Nabab LLB’ which was released on over-the-top platform iTheatre on December 16, 2020.
She has films like ‘Jao Pakhi Bolo Tare’, ‘Ashirbad’ and ‘Swapnobaji’ currently in hand. The release of her another film titled ‘Ananda Ashru’ remains halted due to the situation caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
