Summer drive everybody crazy and we have seen kids getting affected more by the blazing heat of the sun. Kids have sensitive and tender skin which should be protected from that blistering sun.

Here are few diet tips & health tips for children that you would want to know to kick off the summer.

Wearing Summer friendly cloths: The first and foremost step towards kicking off summers is wearing light, summery and comfortable clothes. Wearing light coloured cotton and linen clothes, better with full sleeves for school, extra classes and even at home. This one of the most effective ways to protect your kid from the blazing sun and scorching summers.

Drinking more water: We basically need to drink a good amount of water to keep us fit and healthy. But during Summer the amounts should be increased. Summer dries out all of it. In order to compensate those body fluids and keep our body cool we need to drink more water in summers than any other season. This rule also applies in the kids’ case too.

Eating seasonal fruits: Seasonal fruits should be kept predominantly in our diet chart.  Seasonal fruits consist of high proportion of nutrients that will benefit your kid’s health and keep his immune system strong to fight the summer troubles. Mangoes, apple, grapes, cucumber, water melon, melon, all the fruits which has more water content are good in summer season.

Regular bath: In summer season, we tend to sweat a lot and this sweat can be a home for different microbes which might cause skin infection like prickly and even some internal diseases. Also, you can indulge your kid with swimming classes to keep his body hydrated and busy with some good activity

Healthy diet: Having healthy diet is also another way to kick summers problems. Eating healthy will help in improving the immune system. Prevent them from eating fast, processed, oily, fried food out and prefer providing them home cooked food. This tip works for everybody for kids and for adults.

Juices and shakes: Beverages like juices and shakes are healthy and will keep your kid hydrated and healthy. Also, some citrus juices like lemonade or orange juices will also help in detoxification of the body. And the nutrient content like Vitamin C, phosphorus, magnesium and carbohydrates will add to the health of your kid.

Try to avoid fast and junk food: It will be better if your kid steer clear from fast and junk food and have organic or light food like fruit or vegetable salads in order to keep his body cool and hydrated. Eating fast, oily, spicy food in summers will add up to the heat generating factor in the body and will consequently damage the skin and overall health.

Sunglasses and sun creams: The blazing sun of the summers can cause damage to the skin and eyes. If you are going out with a kid just be cautious about your kid and have him wear sunglasses and sunscreen. And never forget to follow this tip even on a cloudy day.
