IPDC and Youth Opportunities launch gardening contest

Intending to put ecosystem restoration on a pedestal, Youth Opportunity, a platform for youth, and the country’s first private sector non-banking financial institution IPDC Finance jointly initiated a contest for the home gardening enthusiasts.

The ``AMAR GHOR, AMAR BAGAN’’ contest, which urged the passionate nature lovers to share the picture and stories behind their home garden, was launched on Saturday marking the World Environment Day, said a media release.

The competition allows participants to share the story and passion for their built garden, indoor, balcony, rooftop, or lawn.

Bangladeshis living in the country or abroad and aged between 18-55 years are eligible to participate in the contest, the release said.

Participants are asked to take an aesthetic picture of their home garden and share their profile in a public setting with an inspiring caption with the hashtag #AmarGhorAmarBagan #WED2021.

It said, once shared on the profile, participants need to register their submission in the link given: https://host.youthop.com/wed2021/.

Winners will be selected on the effort and aesthetic aspect of their home garden and the caption that should be inspiring for youths to take up such a sustainable habit in their lifestyle.

Besides, attractive prizes, three top winners will be featured in the leading newspaper of the country. All eligible participants will receive an e-certificate, added the release.

The deadline for submission is 15 June 2021.
