Jennifer Lopez to star in Netflix sci-fi thriller ‘Atlas’

Popstar Jennifer Lopez is all set to appear in Netflix’s ‘Atlas’, a sci-fi thriller that will be directed by Brad Peyton, who earlier directed the same streamer’s series ‘Daybreak’.

The project will also be coproduced by Lopez who recently signed a first-look deal with Netflix, reports Deadline.

The film follows Atlas, a woman fighting for humanity in a future where an AI soldier has determined the only way to end war is to end humanity. To outthink this rogue AI, Atlas must work with the one thing she fears most — another AI.

‘Atlas’ falls under the newly announced creative partnership between Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions and Netflix.

Lopez can be seen in the Universal rom-com ‘Marry Me’ and action-comedy ‘Shotgun Wedding’ in 2022.
