The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) board’s selection of Md Tariqul Amin Bhuiyan as its managing director (MD).
The stock market regulator made the decision after the DSE sent three names for the position on Tuesday.
Amin will lead the bourse for the next three years.
He is an IT adviser of Friendship NGO, founder CEO, and CTPO of Hashkloud Pty Limited, Sydney.
Amin was principal consultant, digital core banking transformation consulting, Infosys Lodestone Australia. He was also a senior manager of Accenture Australia and CEO at bKash Limited.
His predecessor Kazi Sanaul Hoq tendered resignation as DSE MD on October 20 last year with effect from January 9, 2021. Since then, the DSE on several occasions sought applications from eligible people for the position of its MD.
