ULAB signs MoU with Indonesian university

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Walisongo State Islamic University of Indonesia, for mutual collaboration.

Under the deal, the universities will collaborate each other in the fields of teaching, learning, research, and community development, said a press release.

Professor Dr Shamsad Mortuza, acting vice-chancellor of ULAB, and Prof Dr Imam Taufiq, rector of UIN Walisongo, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations on July 8.

Appreciating the collaboration, Prof Mortuza said that the young generation will realise the importance of the shared cultures of two nations and will try to preserve the civilisation and noble cultures of Asia.

On a similar note, Prof Taufiq expressed optimism that the MoU will bring the universities together to hold various collaborative activities.

Among others, the deans and rectors, treasurer, registrar, departmental heads and vice-rectors, and administrative officials from both the universities were present on the deal signing function.
