BGMEA for installing GPS tracker in trucks

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association has urged the truck and covered van owners to install GPS tracker in all cargo trucks in order to contain stealing during transportation.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan made the call during a meeting with the leaders of Bangladesh Truck Covered Van Owners Association at the BGMEA office in the capital on Sunday.

Besides, the BGMEA chief requested to fix the fare of trucks and covered vans reasonably and refrain from hiking it arbitrarily.

Faruque Hassan also underscored the need for increasing vigilance of law enforcement agencies on Dhaka-Chattagram highway and Mirpur-Dhowr road, the two busiest trade routes of the country.

Apart from the two leaders, BGMEA Vice President, Md Shahidullah Azim, and General Secretary of Bangladesh Truck Covered Van Owners Association, Rustom Ali Khan, among others, were present at the meeting.
