The government is planning to hold the Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations of 2021 academic year in the second week of November and Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations in the first week of December.
Education Minister Dipu Moni made the disclosure in an online briefing on Thursday.
The SSC and HSC examinations will be held following a short syllabus if the Covid-19 situation is favourable, she said.
There are plans to hold the examinations on three group-based subjects reducing duration and marks of exams following the health safety protocols, the minister said.
If the examinations cannot be held due to the Covid situation, the results will be published through subject mapping of previous exams, she added.
