Acclaimed filmmaker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and versatile actor Chanchal Chowdhury have teamed up in a mystery thriller, titled ‘Munshigiri’, produced by over-the-top platform Chorki.
The first web film under the ‘Munshigiri’ franchise is titled ‘Mriterao Katha Bole’. Directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, ‘Mriterao Katha Bole’ is an adaptation of a novel of the same name written by Shibarata Barman.
Director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury took to his social media handle and shared an official poster of the film recently. He said that more installments would be made in the future, based on the characters of ‘Munshigiri’, after observing the audiences’ reaction for ‘Mriterao Katha Bole’.

“In search of the truth, surrounded by mystery,” Amitabh wrote sharing the poster on Facebook, adding that ‘Mriterao Katha Bole’ will be released on Chorki soon.
In ‘Mriterao Katha Bole’, Chanchal Chowdhury will be seen playing the role of a police detective named Masud Munshi who investigates the mysterious death of a government official. Actress Dilara Hanif Purnima will appear as Suraiya, the widow of the deceased official.
Chanchal earlier acted in Amitabh Reza’s much-hyped debut film ‘Aynabaji’ in 2016.
The actor recently started shooting for ZEE5 Original web serial ‘Rupkotha Noy’, directed by Golam Sohrab Dodul, where Chanchal will be seen playing the role of a multimillionaire in Dhaka city.
Streaming platform Chorki on Thursday released a short film titled ‘Otithi’ that stars Monoj Pramanik and Sanjida Preeti in the lead roles. Directed by Farhad Shahi, plot of the film revolves around the relationship between two families centring the birth of a child.
