Two companies get new names at Dhaka bourse

Taufika Foods and Agro Industries has had its name changed into Taufika Foods and Lovello Ice-cream Plc and its trading code ‘TAUFIKA’ into ‘LOVELLO’ at the Dhaka bourse.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company has been renamed as Bangladesh Finance Limited, with its trading code remaining unchanged.

In separate disclosures made to the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday, the two companies said that the changes were approved by the DSE board of directors recently and will come into effect from Monday.

According to the DSE data, the share price of Taufika Foods has been on downward trend for the last three trading sessions. Each share of the company was traded at Tk 34 at the premier bourse on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the BD Finance’s share price remained almost steady at Tk 66 for the last three sessions.

The company witnessed steep rise in its share price between September 5 and 8 as the price increased by Tk 5 during the period.
