Transactions on DSE, CSE creep up

Trading on both the country's stock exchanges ended in a rise in the outgoing week.

Throughout the week, both the major stock indices and the amount of money traded higher.

During the week, transactions on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) increased by 1,073 percent and on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) by 263 percent.

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has witnessed a turnover of Tk 3,334 crore 81 lakh 72 thousand 242 in four working days of the outgoing week. Which is Tk 3,050 crore 46 lakh 39 thousand 662 or 1072.77 percent more than the previous week.

The previous week's transaction was Tk 284 crore 35 lakh 32 thousand 580. The average turnover in the outgoing week on the DSE was Tk 833 crore 70 lakh 43 thousand 60. The average turnover in the previous week was Tk 56 crore 87 lakh 6 thousand 516.

In other words, the average turnover on the DSE during the week has increased by Tk 776 crore 83 lakh 36 thousand 544.

On the other stock market, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) had a turnover of Tk 558 crore 89 lakh 97 thousand 306 in the outgoing week.

In the previous week the transaction was Tk 154 crore 5 lakh 95 thousand 887.

In other words, the turnover on the CSE has increased by Tk 404 crore 84 lakh 1 thousand 419 or 262.78 percent during the week.
