Anti-mosquito drive: DNCC fines 91 building owners Tk1.5 lakh

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), on the first day of its 10-day combined operation to eliminate mosquitoes, fined owners of a number of 91 houses and establishments Tk1,55,000 after finding larva of Aedes mosquito in there.

DNCC’s mobile courts carried out the drives in 54 wards on Saturday (July 4).

DNCC also issued warnings against several other house owners and asked them to improve conditions of their buildings.

DNCC carried out similar drives from June 6 to June 15 and penalised owners of 1,601 houses and establishments.
