Universal College holds free workshop

Universal College Bangladesh organized a skill development virtual workshop titled ‘Preventing and Coping with Stress and Anxiety’ completely free of charge on Friday last.

The workshop was conducted virtually by Megan Brownlie, student counselor and psychologist (Member of Australian Psychological Society), Student Services, Monash College, said a media statement on Saturday.

During these unprecedented times of the pandemic, stress and anxiety have become a growing concern, especially among students. Taking this into consideration, Universal College Bangladesh (UCB) has joined hands with Monash College Australia to curate a workshop that specifically deals with the prevention and coping mechanism of these mental health-related issues.

The workshop was an excellent prospect for students to evaluate their current mental health and learn about more strategies to ensure continued quality mental health and well-being. In addition to that, they also learned why ensuring a good quality of mental health holds such high ground. Furthermore, students partaking in the workshop received a certificate from Monash College, Australia, and Universal College Bangladesh, said the statement.

Universal College Bangladesh CEO Dr. Sandeep said, “We are pleased to join forces with Monash College Australia to offer an absolutely free expert-curated online training session for Bangladeshi students. We hope that this engaging and interactive session will provide participants with the opportunity to increase their awareness about mental health while preparing them to prevent and cope up with stress and anxiety.”
