AL picks chairman candidates for UP polls

The Awami League on Friday nominated its chairman candidates for elections to the second phase of the Union Parishads in Khulna, Barishal and five districts of Dhaka division.

The five districts are - Dhaka, Gazipur, Manikganj, Narayanganj and Kishoreganj.

The nomination list was finalised at a meeting of the Awami League local government nomination board with prime minister and Awami League local government nomination board president Sheikh Hasina in the chair at her official Ganabhaban residence in Dhaka, said a press release.
