DSE to sell trec at Tk 5 crore

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has decided to sell Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (Trec) for a registration fee of Tk 5 crore.

The board of directors of the stock exchange took this decision unanimously on Wednesday (July 8).

According to DSE sources, a registration fee of Tk 2 crore was fixed for issuing new trec on the basis of majority at the DSE board meeting on July 2. However, two shareholders who took part in the meeting objected on the matter. As a result, the trec registration fee of Tk 2 crore was raised for approval in the meeting on Wednesday but it was not passed. The board then returned to its original pricing of Tk 5 crore.

Besides increasing the trec registration fee to Tk 5 crore, the board has decided to increase the amount of deposit on the stock exchange from Tk 3 crore to Tk 5 crore
