Guardian Life’s insurance policy now on bKash app

Mobile financial service provider bKash has incorporated Guardian Life Insurance’s Easy Life Policy, to provide its customers a convenient, safer, and hassle-free policy maintenance service.

Thanks to the development, the customers can now purchase policy, pay premiums, claim insurance, receive claim disbursements through the bKash app, said a press release on Sunday.

Sheikh Rakibul Karim, acting CEO of Guardian Life Insurance; and Ali Ahmmed, chief commercial officer of bKash; jointly inaugurated the service at Guardian Life headquarters in Dhaka recently, said the release.

Shamim Ahmed, chief operating officer of Guardian Life Insurance along with other senior officials of both the organizations were also present at the event.

Avoiding the hassle of paper, medical tests and meeting, customers can now easily purchase Guardian Life’s ‘Easy Life’ policy from bKash app. With this new addition, purchase of insurance policy from Guardian Life has become easier and safer for 55 million bKash customers across the country.

The MFS provider said in a press release as technology created opportunities to avail insurance services digitally, the opportunity to purchase insurance policy from any part of the country will further expand insurance services and play an important role in financial inclusion as well.

Customers can avail yearly premiums ranging from Tk 150 to 3,499 using the bKash app and can get life coverage of Tk 1 lakh to 3 lakh along with health coverage of Tk 50,000 for Covid and other health treatment.

They can learn more about the premiums, types of coverage and other information from bKash app.

To purchase Guardian Life’s ‘Easy Life Policy’ using bKash app, customers need to click on ‘insurance’ from bKash app’s ‘more’ option and select ‘Guardian Life Insurance Ltd’. In the following steps, they need to select the preferred insurance policy, tap ‘view details’ and ‘buy now’ subsequently and enter necessary information to avail insurance policy easily.

Following some simple steps, policyholders can submit claims through the bKash app as well. Guardian Life Insurance will assess claims lodged by policyholders and disburse to their bKash account within 10 days, if the claim is assessed to be successful.
