Four singers of two generations Bappa Mazumder, Shouquat Ali Imon, Dilshad Nahar Kona and Tina Russell have teamed up in a new song titled ‘Char Chhokka Maro’ to encourage the Bangladesh cricket team in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The song is composed by Shouquat Ali Imon and penned by national award-winning lyricist Zulfiqer Russell.

Shouquat Ali Imon said, “We all love Bangladesh cricket team. Whether they win or lose in the game, we support them anyway. It was great experience to sing with Bappa, Tina and Kona. I hope Bangladesh Team will win the next matches and make us proud.”

“Zulfiqar Russell is one of my favorite lyricists. This song is mainly lyric based,” he added.

Tina Russell said, “This is my first song on cricket. It was really a wonderful experience singing with such talented artists. We shot the video on Sunday night at Bappa Da’s studio wearing the Bangladesh team’s jersey. That is a different feeling. We believe everyone will like our song. The lyric of the song is very inspiring.”

“I am not a sports person. But when it comes to Bangladesh Cricket team, I always support them. Whenever I get the scope to watch Bangladesh cricket team playing, I always get excited. I wish all the best for their upcoming matches,” she added.

Another singer of the song, Kona echoed the same feeling saying that she had a great experience singing with such brilliant singers and wished the best for Bangladesh cricket team.

The entire music video of the song was produced by Nagorik Television. The music video of the song has started broadcasting on Nagorik television from Monday.
