Chattogram set to win, Dhaka beat Sylhet

Chattogram are on the verge of victory against Rajshahi in the 23rd edition of the National Cricket League, whereas Dhaka have already secured victory against Sylhet.

In the new academy ground in Sylhet, Dhaka only needed 18 runs in the third day to beat Sylhet. They did not lose any more wickets in the third as they cruised to victory by only 17 deliveries on the third day. Nazmul Islam Apu was adjudged man of the match for his 10 wickets in the match.

After bowling Rajshahi out for 259 in their second innings, Rajshahi required 77 runs to secure victory. They lost a couple of wickets to reach 15, but they are still in control as they need only 62 runs on the final day of the match.

In Sylhet, Khulna were bowled out for 260 in their first innings after Rangpur scored 257 in their first innings. Anamul Haque was Khulna’s highest scorer as he scored 84. Sohrawordi Shuvo picked up six wickets for Khulna. In reply, Rangpur notched up 42 by the end of the day without losing any wickets.

In Cox’s Bazar, Barishal were bowled out for 241 against Dhaka Metro as Md Sharifullah picked up five wickets. Salman Hossain Emon was Barishal’s highest scorer as he scored 69. Shamsul Islam Anik scored 58. In reply, Dhaka Metro scored 25 for none as skipper Shadman Islam and Rakin Ahmed stayed unbeaten on 12 and 13 respectively.
