FBCCI signs MoUs with Chamber Wales and Wales-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce

FBCCI signs MoUs with Chamber Wales and Wales-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with Chamber Wales and Wales-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce on Monday at Cardiff.

Md Jashim Uddin, President of FBCCI and Paul Slevin, President of Chamber Wales and Abdul Alim, President of Wales – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce signed the MoUs on behalf of their respective organisation, a press release said.

Speaking at the occasion, FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin stated that Bangladesh now has many highly prospective diversified products to export to the UK Chamber Wales and Wales. Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry may encourage people in the UK to use the products of Bangladesh.

“FBCCI as the apex trade body of Bangladesh is always open to facilitate the business interest of both local and foreign investors in Bangladesh,” he added.

He also expressed hopes that the signing of MoUs between FBCCI and Chamber Wales and FBCCI and Wales – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry would open up new windows for networking and meaningful partnership.

On the same day, FBCCI President met Julie Morgan, Deputy Minister for Social Services of Wales at Cardiff.

“Bangladesh offers one of the world’s best competitive fiscal and non-fiscal incentives including profit repatriation, tax holiday and duty-free import of capital machinery. Bangladesh has a demographic dividend with a hardworking, competitive, educated and skilled workforce with excellent proficiency in English”, he added.

He invited more UK investment in Bangladesh considering the facilities offered by the government. He also hoped UK investors will come forward towards development projects and investment in exclusive industrial zones and tourism parks in Bangladesh.

After the meeting, Bangladesh Business Delegation visited the historic Cardiff Castle. Leaders of Wales – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce accompanied the delegation.

Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Senior Vice President of FBCCI, MA Momen, Md Aminul Haque Shamim, Md Amin Helaly, Vice Presidents of FBCCI, Md Rejaul Kariem Rejnu, CIP, Tabarakul Tosaddek Hossain Khan Tito, Syed Sadat Almas Kabir, Syed Moazzem Hossain, Dr Nadia Binte Amin, Khan Ahmed Shuvo, Dr Ferdousi Begum, Directors of FBCCI, Md Halal Uddin, Former Vice-President, Prabir Kumar Saha, Former Director, Engr Mohammad Mohabbat Ullah, Former Director of FBCCI were also present at the programme and the meeting with Julie Morgan, Deputy Minister for Social Services of Wales.
