Shithi's first song with Shafqat Amanat coming Thursday

Promising singer Shithi Saha was first seen singing along with veteran Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, on the stage of the 2019 Dhaka International Folk Festival at Army Stadium.

Finally, Shithi has made it into an original song with the globally renowned singer. She has collaborated with Shafqat for a new song titled ‘Raat Jaga Pakhi’.

The song is written and composed by award-winning Indian composer Indraadip Dasgupta.

Shithi lent her voice in the song at Indraadip’s studio in Kolkata and Shafqat’s vocal part was sent by him.

The music video for ‘Raat Jaga Pakhi’ was made in February this year under the direction of Shahrear Polock starring ABM Sumon and Shithi Saha.

Shithi shared a teaser for the upcoming song on her verified Facebook page recently and wrote “The wait is coming to an end. My first music video with globally renowned singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, with lyrics written by Indraadip Dasgupta, titled ‘Raat Jaga Pakhi’ will be released on December 2.”

Shafqat also shared a teaser via Instagram. “This is my first ever song recorded in the Bengali language. It has been beautiful composition and beautiful creation. I would like you guys to stay tuned and listen to this song and give us your feedback.”

Shithi said that ‘Raat Jaga Pakhi’ was expected to be released earlier this before which was delayed for the pandemic.

On the work front, the singer recently lent her voice for two tracks from two upcoming films. One of the films is titled ‘Hridita’ and the title for the other one is yet to be finalised.

Shithi is currently passing a busy time for stage shows and also preparing for various programmes on the occasion of the upcoming Victory Day on December 16.

However, Shafqat Amanat Ali is expected to join the launching event of the song ‘Raat Jaga Pakhi’ virtually on December 2.

In 2015, Shithi covered one of the most popular songs of Shafqat on YouTube, ‘Mora Saiyaan’, which paved the way for her to connect with him. 

Shithi and Shafqat are also scheduled to collaborate on three more new songs in both Bangla and Hindi languages.

Pop and classical singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan was the lead vocalist of the Pakistani pop-rock band Fuzön until 2006. He also made his mark in Bollywood music by releasing many heartwarming songs like ‘Mitwa’, ‘Bin Tere’, ‘Tu Hi Mera’, ‘Tere Naina’ and ‘Zindagi Se’.
