Popy tests Covid-19 positive

Popular Dhallywood actress Sadika Parvin Popy has been tested positive for coronavirus. She is currently undergoing treatment at her home in Khalishpur, Khulna, following the advice of a doctor.

Her younger brother confirmed the news to the reporters.

She gave samples for testing coronavirus three days ago after being ill with Covid-19 symptoms for several days. The result came out positive on Friday (July 24).

Her younger brother said, “My sister is currently suffering from fever, throat sore, and dry cough. She will test coronavirus for the second time next week.”

Before coronavirus pandemic, Popy went to visit her village home in Khulna. When the lockdown began to spread, she got stranded there. During this time, the actress distributed relief to the needy people in the area.

Popy made her film debut in 1997 with Montazur Rahman Akbar's Kuli. She has won the National Film Award for Best Actress three times for her performance in  Karagar, Megher Koley Roud, and Gangajatra.
