Bangladeshi singer Pritom Ahmed has acted in the British series titled ‘A Very British Scandal’ directed by Anne Sewitsky which was released on BBC One in the UK on December 26.

Pritom posted several behind-the-scene photos of the series on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.

“The shoot was going on during the lockdown. So, we were scared to go to the sets. Finally, in the first two days of the release, the IMDb rating reaches 7.5,” he captioned.

In another Facebook post, the singer-turned-actor shared the clips of the series ‘A Very British Scandal’ and wrote, “This was my first acting in the British series in the same frame with Claire Foy, Paul Bettany, Julia Davis. ‘A Very British Scandal’ is produced by the BBC about one of the scandals in the history of Britain.”

Written by Sarah Phelps, who is known for screenwriting for ‘Dublin Murders and ‘The Pale Horse’, the three-part series ‘A Very British Scandal’ sheds light on the divorce of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll in the 1960s Great Britain.

BBC described the series as “one of the most notorious, extraordinary and brutal legal cases of the 20th century where their divorce featured scandalous testimonies and a damning verdict from the judge, who described Margaret’s alleged actions as wholly immoral.”

‘A Very British Scandal’ stars Claire Foy, Paul Bettany, Julia Davis, Camilla Rutherford, Sophia Myles, Richard McCabe plays George Whigham, Sophie Ward, Timothy Renouf and Miles Jupp.

However, Pritom Ahmed earlier hit headlines after appearing in Netflix’s series ‘The Crown’. He will next be seen in an important role in BBC TV series ‘Sherlock’.
