Waiting for Khaleda's better treatment opportunity: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said they are waiting for the opportunity of better treatment for their party Chairperson Khaleda Zia and people hope the former three-time prime minister will get that opportunity.

The BNP leader made the remarks while talking to journalists after placing wreaths at Zia's grave at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Saturday.

Fakhrul said that our leader is still quite ill. Her underlying health conditions are yet to improve. She is not getting fair healthcare. At present, it is not possible to go to hospitals.

“The doctors can’t come. There is no chance that she will go abroad for treatment. That's why she didn't get the opportunity to avail better treatment. I am looking forward to availing that scope. Hopefully, she will get that chance,” he added.

Fakhrul also urged the government not only to provide immediate relief materials but also to rehabilitate the flood victims.
