Prof Mahmuda new executive president of BICM

Dr Mahmuda Akter, a professor of accounting and information systems at Dhaka University (DU), has been appointed as the executive president of Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM).

She submitted her joining letter to Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on Monday.

Prof Mahmuda Akter has also served as a councillor of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), member of the board of directors of BDBL Investment Services Ltd, director of Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB), director of North-West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL).
