12 out of 30 banks report higher EPS in last two quarters

12 out of 30 listed banks have shown improved Earnings Per Share have (EPS) for the first two quarters this year compared to same period last year.

However, EPS of 17 banks decreased at the same time.

BRAC Bank's EPS declined by 53 percent followed by Prime Bank at 47 percent. City Bank and IFIC Bank’s EPS reduced by 42 percent. Eastern Bank's EPS registered the lowest at 0.51 percent.

One Bank's EPS increased the most by 124 percent followed by Exim Bank at 78 percent and Al Arafah Islami Bank at 65 percent. And the lowest EPS of Dutch-Bangla Bank increased by 13 percent.

ICB Islamic bank's losses increased by 10 percent over the same period compaerd to last year.
