Sadek Bacchu tests positive for Covid-19, admitted to DMCH

Seasoned actor Sadek Bachchu, who was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with respiratory-related problems, has tested positive for coronavirus.

Jayed Khan, general secretary of Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association confirmed the news to the media.

He said,” Sadek Bachchu received the Covid-19 test report on Friday confirming that he contracted the deadly virus.”

He also said that the veteran actor is currently under oxygen support at the hospital.

Sadek Bacchu has acted in over a thousand plays since in 1974.

His career in acting stretches over five decades in the theatre, radio, television, and cinema.
