The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 939,427 as of Thursday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 29,763,811 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

So far, 20,212,134 people have recovered.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,288,425 infected patients 7,227,181 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 61,244 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

In Bangladesh, 21 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,823.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged 342,671 as 1,615 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
