World Covid-19 deaths reach 1,187,023

The global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,187,023 as of Saturday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 45,477,552 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 11,456,025 infected patients 11,372,662 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 83,363 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 29,594,362 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 19 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,905.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 4,06,364 as 1,604 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
