Online admission tests not feasible: Experts to UGC

Software experts today said to UGC that it is not feasible to take online entrance exams of public universities in Bangladesh. As a result admission tests of public universities for the 2020-21 academic session are more likely to be held in centers.

Experts said that that there will be several complexities like faulty evaluation due to network error if the suggested remote examination system software is used. Moreover, any country is yet to take entrance exams through just a software.

However, the experts opined that the software can be used  to take the internal exams of the universities after further development.

The discussions took place in a meeting at the conference hall of the University Grants Commission (UGC) today. UGC Chairman Professor Kazi Shahidullah presided over the meeting.

Earlier, the UGC formed a five-member committee including Dhaka University Computer Science and Engineering Department Professor Hafiz Mohammad Hasan to evaluate the proposed software.
