Shafiqur Rahman Prodhania dies

Shafiqur Rahman Prodhania, father of Daffodil International University (DIU) Deputy Director Rasel Prodhania died in a city hospital on Wednesday. He was 66. The elderly citizen was recently admitted to the hospital with to pneumonia and respiratory problems, said a press release.

He left behind his wife, one son, and two daughters along with a host of well-wishers to mourn his death. Shafiqur Rahman was laid to rest at his family graveyard at Dhonopordee Village at Sadar Upazila in Chandpur after the Zohor prayer.

On his death, the management team, Vice Chancellor, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Treasurer and Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University, Officials of Daffodil International University and Daffodil Group expressed deep condolence and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul.
