The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has increased yet again at the consumer level. The price of a 12kg cylinder of LPG rose by Tk 35 to Tk 1,455.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced this new rate on Wednesday, adding that the new price will be effective from this evening.
In the announcement, the BERC mentioned that the price of private LPG at the retail level has been fixed at Tk 121.32 per kg including VAT. The price of auto-gas per litre has been fixed at Tk 66.84.
Besides, the price of LPG supplied privately in liquid state under the reticulated system has been fixed at Tk 117.49 including VAT.
During the just concluded month of September, the price of a 12kg cylinder of LPG was Tk 1,420, while the rate was TK 1,377 in the previous month.
It should be noted that the BERC now fixes the price of LGP every month based on the market.
