Petrobangla and Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) will launch two hotlines to easily report complaints to oil and gas customers.
Any problem related to oil and gas can be complained directly by calling the hotline numbers, confirmed Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
The country’s electricity consumers can give their compliment to the hotlines of the distribution companies but this system was not effective for oil and gas.
There was no one to see or hear if a customer was cheated or faced by any problem while buying oil and gas in the country. Energy Division expected that this problem will be solved quickly.
Speaking to The Business Post, an official of the energy division said, “We are trying to become more people-friendly as time progresses. This initiative has been taken so that people can easily report their complaints.”
He mentioned that problems can be reported to the hotlines 24 hours a day and remedial action will be taken accordingly.
The call center numbers will be five digits and Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will fix the number, Petrobangla said.
Earlier, there were separate hotlines for each distribution company for electricity consumers. Mentionable, their single hotline number was launched in last December.
