The CNG refuelling stations across the country will remain closed for four hours daily, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, from Sunday.
Gas supply to the CNG filling stations will be closed for four hours every day to increase the supply of gas for power generation during peak hours, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said in a notification on September 15.
Earlier on September 13, the government announced that all the CNG pumps would remain shut for six hours daily during peak hours, from 5:00pm to 11:00pm, effective from September 15.
But the decision was later suspended and the new one was taken only after consultations with the owners of CNG stations.
