To ensure an uninterrupted nationwide power supply during the upcoming Eid holidays, the Power Division has established a control room at Bidyut Bhaban in Dhaka. This control room will be operational daily from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM throughout the holidays.
Power Division, under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, announced this initiative on Thursday.
According to a statement from the Power Division, any issues related to the uninterrupted power supply that arise will be promptly addressed through coordination with the relevant parties while officials or employees are on duty in the control room.

Additionally, the division will inform higher authorities when necessary. The control room will also maintain comprehensive communication with the Power Division's integrated hotline number: 16999.
The statement further specifies that if any official or employee is unable to perform their duties on the designated days due to unavoidable circumstances, they are responsible for coordinating with another official or employee to ensure coverage.
This measure is intended to guarantee a steady and reliable power supply during the Eid festivities, thereby ensuring a smooth and joyous celebration for all, according to the Power Division.
