Energy, Mineral Resources Division’s officials celebrate Bangabandhu’s birthday

All officials of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division including Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, celebrated the 103rd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day 2023 on Friday.

They laid wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman installed at the head office of Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) at 10:30 am and celebrated the birthday by cutting a cake, read a press release.

The national flag was also hoisted at the GTCL head office and regional offices at sunrise and special prayers were offered.

The adviser, secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, chairman (secretary) of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, and chairman of Petro Bangla planted trees on GTCL premises and later, the adviser gave a directive speech.

On the same day, a drawing competition was held on the topic of “Bangabandhu and Liberation War of Bangladesh” among the children of the officers and employees working in GTCL at 7:30 am.

Additional secretary (planning) of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division and GTCL Board Honorary Director Md Humayun Kabir and GTCL Managing Director Engineer Rukhsana Najma Ishaq distributed the prizes to the winners of the drawing competition.
