The present government has increased a total of 5,925MW electricity so far since December 2018, said the state minister, adding "The government is implementing immediate, short, medium and long term planning for the development of the power sector by giving it the maximum importance."

Consequently, it was possible to reach electricity facilities to cent per cent of people across the country, he added.

A total of 20,980MW electricity has been included in the national grid in the last 14 years, he said, adding that so, the total electricity generation capacity has been increased to 26,700 megawatts.
