The government on Thursday approved separate proposals in principle for procuring refined fuel oil, crude oil and one cargo LNG.
The approvals came from the 6th meeting of the Advisers’ Council Committee meeting on Economic Affairs this year held today virtually with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.
Cabinet Division officials said following two separate proposals from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Petrobangla would procure refined fuel oil and crude oil for the 2025 calendar year under the Direct Procurement Method (DPM).
Besides, in response to another proposal, Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market under the DPM method to meet the urgent demand for gas.
