Due to the deteriorating flood situation in the country including Sylhet and Sunamganj, the concerned power substations have to be partially or completely shut down in the interest of safety and security.
As a result, the power supply to the affected areas is being disrupted, said a press release from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) on Monday.
Efforts will be made to normalize the power supply along with improving the flood situation, it added.
