Universiti Tenaga Malaysia (UNITEN) electrical engineering expert Prof Dr MA Hannan has been recognised as one of the most influential scientists in the world by Clarivate Analytics, based on the Highly Cited Researchers 2022 report.
UNITEN said in a statement that the recognition was based on the publication of his significant research in the field of renewable energy engineering, New Straits Times reports.
The Bangladeshi scientist was also listed in the top one per cent of citations in a period of 11 years from January 2011 to December 2021.
"Prof Dr MA Hannan has consistently published 255 articles in the Web of Science index with a total of 7,911 citations. He is one of the greatest researchers from the 69 countries who received the recognition," the statement read.
Clarivet Analytics’ Highly Cited Researcher 2022 list, revealed on November 15, includes 6,938 researchers from 69 countries or regions who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields over the last decade.
