Amitabh-Deepika’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas goes on floors

The upcoming yet-untitled science-fiction thriller of actors Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas went on the floors on Saturday in Hyderabad in a special set. Amitabh has joined the team to be part of this mini schedule at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad of India, reports Hindustan Times.

Last year, Prabhas and Nag Ashwin welcomed Amitabh Bachchan on board to play an important role in the film. The untitled flick went on floors Friday without any prior announcement. Reports suggest that this will be a short schedule in Hyderabad.

There has been no official announcement regarding the same. However, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter on July 23 to reveal that he will be attending the muhurat of a new film, without specifying any other details.

Nag Ashwin’s last film was National Award-winning Mahanati starring Keerthy Suresh. After a brief hiatus, he announced his next film with an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. Legendary director Singeetam Srinivas Rao has been roped in as the mentor.

Nag Ashwin had revealed that this is a science fiction flick made on a massive budget. The film is being produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. As reported earlier, the film will be released in multiple languages.

The film will be shot within next year with multiple schedules. Touted to be a sci-fi thriller, the Nag Ashwin-directorial also features Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as the leading lady. The yet-to-be-titled film was officially launched in July last year.
