Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte to star in Netflix film ‘Monica, O My Darling’

Streaming giant Netflix revealed the first look of its upcoming project, ‘Monica, O My Darling’ yesterday. The first look of the movie is basically a cast reveal.

‘Monica, O My Darling’ stars Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi and Sikandar Kher in the lead roles.

Interestingly, all of the main cast has previously collaborated with Netflix before, barring Sikandar Kher, whose breakout role in Sushmita Sen-starrer Disney Plus Hotstar series ‘Arya’ put him on the map.

Radhika Apte, who has omnipresence on Netflix, tweeted, “It’s Radflix and thrills time again! Happy to announce that I’ll be back on Netflix yet again with ‘Monica, O My Darling’. Super excited to be a part of this wonderful team.

While no other detail has yet been revealed of the project, it is apparent from the list of tagged people that ‘Monica, O My Darling’ will be helmed by Vasan Bala, who made the critically acclaimed film ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota,’ reports Indian Express.

The film ‘Monica, O My Darling’ is named after RD Burman’s cabaret item number picturised on Helen for the film ‘Caravan’ in 1971.

‘Monica, O My Darling’ is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in April this year.
