Akshay’s ‘Bell Bottom’ to release on Aug 19

Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta starrer ‘Bell Bottom’ is all set to release on August 19 in theatres. Earlier, the film was slated to release on July 27. Akshay took to social media to make the grand announcement along with a new poster.

Directed by Ranjit Tewari, the film was shot extensively in Scotland in 2020, reports Times of India. It is written by Aseem Arrora & Parveez Shaikh. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.

‘Bell Bottom’ made headlines as it became the first Hindi film to be shot and completed during the pandemic with precautionary measures on sets.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Akshay wrote, “Mission: To Entertain you on the BIG screen date: August 19, 2021 Announcing the arrival of BellBottom.”

Earlier, Vaani said that she is excited about the prospect of the industry restarting. She thanked the producers and Akshay for the decision to release the film in the theatres. She also hoped that the film will play a huge role in bringing people back to the movies, Times of India reported.
