The stay-at-home period amid the ongoing virus restrictions has turned out to be productive for Bappa Mazumder to a great extent as the talented musician is working on some new compositions while remaining indoors.
Eight female vocalists of the country’s contemporary music scene—Dilshad Nahar Kona, Elita Karim, Alif Alauddin, Roma, Konal, Ankhi Alamgir, Joyeeta and Tina Russell will be featured by Bappa Mazumder under a unique project initiated by him.
Tuned, composed and produced by Bappa Mazumder, the songs will be released from his record label Bee Emmz Workstation, he confirmed The Business Post yesterday.
The songs are written by the lyricists like Shahan Kabondho, Indraneel Chattopadhyay, Rana and Maruf Hasan.
Talking to The Business Post, Bappa said that he is prioritising to make some good music and initially planning to execute the eight songs with lyrical video. “Music videos can also be made, if it becomes necessary,” he mentioned.
The Dalchhut front man confirmed that the band’s new album titled ‘Sanjeeb’, which is also produced by him, will be released as soon as the existing pandemic situation improves. Bappa’s another new song titled ‘Nil Machi’ for which he collaborated with Polin Kawsar and Rajan Saha, will soon be released on the YouTube channel of Studio Joya.
Currently, Bappa Mazumder is working as a music director for Pradip Ghosh-directed film ‘Bhalobasa Pritilota’, an adaptation of noted author Selina Hossain’s novel of the same title.
In July, Bappa released his single ‘Shunnopur’ which is available for the listeners on his YouTube channel.
