Bangladesh Betar is set to air a special drama titled ‘Acho Tumi Ontore’ as part of their special programmes to pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking National Mourning Day and the 46th death anniversary of his martyrdom.

The drama is written by Mustafa Muhammad Abdur Rob and directed by Manoj Sengupta.

Meanwhile, popular TV actress Tanvin Sweety took part in the recording of the drama on August 1.

Talking to The Business Post on Monday, Sweety said, “I feel great and so honoured to be a part of this drama of Bangladesh Betar. During the recording, I felt like performing in theatre as it was very different from TV dramas. We have rehearsed the drama before and then we went for the recording.

“It feels great to work with the actors that I have been known for years,’ Sweety added.

Regarding the plot of the drama, she said, “It’s a story of a father and daughter who set out on a journey to a village. Residents of the village and the old freedom fighters share their feelings about the country after the Liberation War. They also expressed their gratitude for the developments of the country that is happening currently.”

Actors Toru Mustafa and Arman Parvez Murad also participated in the recording of ‘Acho Tumi Ontore’.

On the other hand, Tanvin Sweety recently started shooting for Nima Khan-directed drama serial ‘Gulshan Avenue 2’. It will be aired on Banglavision. During the Eid-ul-Azha, Sweety was seen in the short film ‘Shathi’ aired on NTV. Besides, she also appeared with Khairul Bashar in the drama titled ‘Boro Bhabi’ directed by Chayanika Chowdhury.
